NOTICE TO 2010 CRS ANNUAL MEETING ATTENDEES
If you are contacted by Convention Expo Travel (CET), or anyone claiming to work for CRS, asking to book hotel rooms for you, DO NOT book your travel arrangements or hotel reservations with this company or caller. They are not an authorized booking agent for the CRS, the 2010 Annual Meeting & Exposition in Portland, or any current or future CRS meetings. Booking with CET costs CRS valuable resources in addition to placing CRS in jeopardy of not fulfilling our hotel contracts. Further, CRS staff will not call exhibitors asking to book hotel rooms. Please be advised that CET may be offering hotel rates that are above/below the CRS-discounted convention rates published on the CRS Annual Meeting & Exposition website. No one can book hotel rooms at rates lower than CRS-contracted rates over CRS Annual Meeting dates at CRS-contracted hotels. Please be aware that reservations booked through CET may not be honored by the official CRS Annual Meeting hotels, and CRS will not guarantee these reservations. Please also be advised that once you sign any CET agreements (i.e., credit card authorization forms), CRS cannot guarantee that you will get your money back. Book Your Hotel Room
The 37th CRS Annual Meeting & Exposition registration and housing is a integrated process. If you are registering for the annual meeting online, you will be asked to continue to online housing at the end of your registration transaction. This process facilitates the attendees’ use the official CRS-contracted hotels. This also allows CRS to keep the annual meeting expenses low and, in turn, keep CRS attendee registration fees affordable. A registration receipt and hotel reservation acknowledgement will be e-mailed to you separately upon the completion of your transactions.
A maximum of six (6) guest rooms may be booked for any room type at either hotel. Reservations are processed on a first-come-first-served basis. Book early to ensure availability of hotel and room type. Every effort will be made to accommodate your requests. If you need to book more than 6 guest rooms, or if you wish to book a suite in either hotel, please contact CRS Meeting Manager, Leah Barna at lbarna@scisoc.org, or call Leah at +1.651.454.7250.
You cannot book a hotel room direct with either CRS hotel. All CRS hotel reservations must be processed online, by telephone, or by fax/mail via the CRS/Travel Portland Housing Bureau. You may book your hotel room using the official CRS housing form only if you are registering via fax or mail. If you call either hotel, you will be referred back to the CRS/Travel Portland Housing Bureau booking. CRS does not provide room-mate pairing services.

Hotel Room Cancellation Policy
A credit card, valid through the dates of the meeting, and e-mail address are required to process and confirm your hotel reservation. Your credit card will not be charged unless (a) you cancel your reservation after June 6, 2010 (US$25 processing fee will be charged), (b) you do not arrive on the date you confirmed (one night’s room and tax charged by the hotel), or (c) you cancel your reservation within 72 hours prior to check-in (one night’s room and tax charged by the hotel). Fees will be charged to the credit card used to book the reservation. Check cancellations will incur a US$50 processing fee and applicable hotel cancellation fees.
Housing Is Still Open!!
The deadline for booking hotel rooms at CRS discounted rates is July 1, 2010, or until inventory is sold out.. Discounted rates cannot be guaranteed after this date. Until July 2, 2010, please make reservation changes / cancellations with the CRS/Travel Portland Housing Bureau online at www.controlledreleasesociety.org or contact CRS/Travel Portland Housing Bureau at the telephone number or e-mail addresses listed herein. On July 2, 1010, reservation changes / cancellations should be made direct with your assigned hotel. Do not contact the hotels until July 2, 1010, as they will not have your reservation information.

Hilton Portland & Executive Tower - Headquarters Hotel
Hilton Portland & Executive Tower is the Headquarters Hotel for the 2010 CRS Annual Meeting. The Hilton Portland & Executive Tower is conveniently located in the heart of the city and is just steps to the MAX light rail connecting you to the Oregon Convention Center and Portland International Airport. The Hilton Portland is 100% non-smoking, is the largest hotel in Oregon, and is the largest Green Seal-certified hotel on the U.S. West Coast. Doubletree Hotel Portland is Portland’s first sustainable hotel and is just three blocks' walk to the Oregon Convention Center. The MAX light rail light rail stop is adjacent to the hotel providing quick and easy access to the city center and Portland International Airport. The Doubletree is 100% non-smoking. Guests are treated to Doubletree’s world-famous cookies at check-in!
Hotel Services: Hilton HHonors Program, Doubletree cookies at check-in, Two restaurants, one bar, business center, safe deposit boxes, ATM, laundry/valet, fitness room, outdoor pool, multi-lingual staff, and both self- and valet parking. No pets allowed.

Tax is 12.5% and is not included in the rate. CRS discounted rates are applicable three days pre- and post-CRS annual meeting dates (based on availability). Premium rooms are a bit larger than the Standard rooms and feature the same amenities as mentioned above, and most have a balcony.
