Summary

Sustained, bioactive release of the oligodendrocyte differentiation factor PDGF-AA was achieved using PLGA nanoparticles dispersed in a hyaluronan/methyl cellulose hydrogel. The encapsulation and release was tuned by controlling protein loading and excipients. Delivery of this system in combination with neural stem/progenitor cells is a promising therapy for the treatment of spinal cord injury.
