Summary

This work focuses on the in vitro and in vivo transdermal permeation of ketorolac tromethamine, formulated in elastic liposomes, using Tween 80 as edge activator. The results showed that although no marked differences were observed between the fluxes through the skin in vitro, skin deposition was higher for the solution than for elastic liposomes. In vivo results showed an enhancement effect with the elastic vesicles, although a high inter-individual variability was observed.
