Annual Meeting Update Regarding COVID-19

The Controlled Release Society Annual Meeting and Exposition is currently planned to take place as scheduled June 27-July 1 in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

CRS leadership team has been closely monitoring updates and following the latest advice from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as state and local governments.

We are committed to the health, safety, and well-being of our members, volunteers, staff, speakers, partners and exhibitors, and every precaution is being taken to ensure CRS hosts a safe and successful Annual Meeting in Las Vegas.

We encourage attendees to monitor the CDC website for additional information and follow the WHO's Travel Advice as they consider their travel arrangements to the CRS Annual Meeting, as well as their recommendations for protecting themselves from infection.

In addition, CRS is closely monitoring all travel alerts issued by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Southern Nevada Health District advisories.

Should good judgment based on public health considerations, or actions taken by a federal, state, or local authority impose restrictions that make it impossible, impractical or imprudent to run our conference as scheduled, the Board of Directors will postpone or cancel the event. CRS will then: notify registrants, partners, speakers, and other participants by email immediately; and post a message on the event’s webpage.

CRS is seriously considering the many possible outcomes for our meeting, including the effect of any change or new policies put into place, such as border closures or employers’ travel policies may have on our registrants.

We will continue to update you via the website https://2020.controlledreleasesociety.org/, and e-communications.

Thanks,

Justin Hanes
CRS President
