Postdoctoral Researcher
Aalto University, Finland
Carmine D’Amico is a researcher working at the intersection of drug delivery, immunology, and biomaterials. He holds a PhD in Pharmacy from the University of Helsinki and is currently a postdoctoral researcher at Aalto University, where his work includes cancer vaccines, nucleic acid–based systems, and synthetic virus-inspired platforms. He is particularly interested in how scientific ideas move from laboratory work toward practical use, and has been involved in early commercialization and research-to-business initiatives alongside his research. Before academia, he worked for a small independent music festival, and he still hasn’t quite given up on basketball.
