Observations/Thoughts/Trends/Musings

Overall, the number of patents issued during this time frame was less than those in previous patent summaries I’ve drafted. The search parameters and databases queried remained unchanged, but the number of patens (~175) was down from the ~300 I would expect to review over an almost six-month time frame. While patents in the pharmaceutical space once again dominates the document, I was struck by the number of industrial patents as well as the lack of patents issued in agriculture
