Amy is a Postdoctoral research officer at the Children’s Cancer Institute, Australia, working on developing targeted siRNA therapeutics to treat aggressive paediatric cancers.
She completed her PhD in 2023 under the supervision of Professor Maria Kavallaris, and has continued working with Maria on the development of targeted liposomal nanoparticles to deliver RNA therapeutics to solid tumours, including neuroblastoma and brain cancers. A chemical engineer by training, she enjoys problem solving and investigating the impact of different nanoparticle formulations on nanoparticle delivery efficiency.
Amy has also been a member of the Controlled Release Society Young Scientist Committee (YSC) since 2023, and in 2026 she elected as the treasurer of the YSC. Outside of the lab, Amy enjoys cooking, and going for walks along Sydney’s coastline with family, friends, and her dog.
