Gülçin Arslan Azizoğlu, PhD, is a licensed pharmacist and the Associate Director of the Prausnitz Lab at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Working under the mentorship of Prof. Mark Prausnitz, she is a driving force in advancing microneedle-based drug and vaccine delivery systems. Transitioning to Senior Research Scientist later in 2026, her research focuses on pioneering long-acting contraceptive technologies and developing next-generation multivalent microneedle patch delivery systems for global health.

Her academic journey began at Ege University in İzmir, Türkiye, where she earned her MSc in Cosmetology and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology. For nearly two decades, Gülçin has shared both her professional and personal journey with Dr. Erkan Azizoğlu. Having worked together as research partners in the same laboratories since their time in Türkiye, they continue their shared dedication to pharmaceutical science in the U.S. alongside their daughter, Deniz Evrim.

Gülçin is currently serving her second year as the Marketing Lead for the Controlled Release Society (CRS) Young Scientist Committee (YSC), where she is committed to fostering a global community of innovation for early-career researchers. Beyond the laboratory, she is an avid traveler and coffee enthusiast who finds joy in exploring diverse cuisines and making lifelong memories with her family
