Profile: Maria Sokol

I am a PhD student at Institute of Biochemical Physics, Russian Academy of Science, Moscow, Russia. I started my research training at Russian Research Center for Molecular Diagnostics and Treatment at Prof. Severin Lab working on design of PLGA nanoparticles with co-encapsulation of hydrophobic antitumour drugs. My current research focuses on conjugation of PLGA nanoparticles with protein vector molecules, as well as evaluation and prediction of release kinetics and opsonization process of such delivery vehicles. Besides research, I love paddleboarding, stand up comedy and travelling.
