Application Scientist - Analytical Instruments
Tosoh Bioscience GmbH, Germany
With a background in pharmacy and analytical chemistry, Dr. Snežana Đorđević has dedicated her career to merging her skills into the nanomedicine and drug delivery field. She has performed her Ph.D. project at Polymer Therapeutics Laboratory, based in Valencia (Spain) under the supervision of Dr Maria Jesus Vicent and obtained her Ph.D. degree in Chemistry in May 2023 with the highest mark (Excellent, Cum Laude). During her PhD and one year of Postdoc at Polymer Therapeutics Laboratory, she has been author of 10 scientific articles and 1 patent, has received 4 prices for the best oral presentations at scientific conferences, co-director of 2 MSc thesis, 1 graduate thesis and 3 master students at practical placements, while also training current and new PhD students, Postdocs, and researchers in analytical techniques and data analysis.
Her six-year experience in the rational design of polymer therapeutics, and expertise in many analytical techniques, lead her to obtain a position of Application Scientist at Tosoh Bioscience where she is currently focusing on finding new applications of size exclusion chromatography coupled with advanced detectors in the characterization of polymers and polymer-based drug delivery systems. Her work focuses on complex sample analysis, method optimization, and data interpretation in close collaboration with customers, academic partners, and internal product teams. She contributes to technical training, software and instrument demonstrations, and scientific communication, supporting both application innovation and knowledge transfer within Tosoh Bioscience.
