Summary

Printing using e.g. inkjet and flexographic technology enables creation of 3-dimensional structures of materials on a variety of surfaces and allows creation of tailored drug delivery systems. This study aims to show how inkjet and flexographic printing technologies have potential to be used in fabrication of drug-delivery systems. Printing by incorporation of drug substances on various substrates and layering of polymers can be utilized to tailor controlled release.
