Profile: Alexander Cook

b

Alexander is a polymer chemist working as a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Cofund Fellow with Professor Paolo Decuzzi. He studied Chemistry at Imperial College and has a PhD from the University of Warwick. In general, he is interested in applying materials science and engineering to help solve health problems. His research addresses new ways to treat various diseases, including cancer and neurological disorders, by combining lithographic techniques with stimuli responsive polymers to create drug delivery systems with controlled geometries and mechanical properties. Having lived in the beautiful green countries of New Zealand, Italy, and the UK, he very much enjoys outdoor sports and mountains.
