Profile: Nikhar Vishwakarma

nvNikhar Vishwakarma is currently pursuing his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dr Harisingh Gour University, Sagar, India. He is working in the field of Nanomedicine for the development of Affinity Regulated Nanosystem(s) for Insulin Delivery under the profound guidance of Prof. S.P. Vyas. His research aims to transform current diabetic therapy. He has been awarded Senior Research Fellowship by Indian Council of Medical Research, New Delhi, India for his doctoral studies. He has also been awarded the prestigious Newton Bhabha PhD Placement Program fellowship 2018-19 coordinated by Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India and British Council, UK to carry out his PhD dissertation work at School of Pharmacy, University of Nottingham, UK under the supervision of Dr Lluisa Perez-Garcia. Previously, he worked as an Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutics for nearly five years and taught students at both graduate and post-graduate level. He is a communicative, inquisitive, confident and hardworking individual constantly working to achieve his goals. He’s a dreamer and in his free time, he loves to do adventure sports, photography, travelling, social networking and meeting new people. He loves to live his life to the fullest and motivate others to achieve their goals and have a positive outlook towards their life. He is excited to join the Young Scientist Committee of the Controlled Release Society as YSC Ambassador. This could be a life-changing experience for him because it will enable him to get in touch and meet renowned researchers from all over the world.
