Shoaib Iqbal is a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Nanomedicine at Clemson University. He is currently working on the development of gene delivery systems for brain diseases. Shoaib’s background is in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a Pharm.D from University of Sargodha (Pakistan). He worked on several drug discovery and development projects during his time in Master of Pharmacy. In 2018, he received his Ph.D. in Biomaterials from University of Science and Technology of China (China), where his work focused on determining the design criteria for nucleic acids delivery systems. His research interests are focused on fundamental studies that define design principles for gene delivery nanomedicines. During his free time, he enjoys playing chess and watching snooker.
