Biography: Antonio José Guillot is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Technology at the University of Valencia (UV), a position he has held since 2023. He holds an MSc in Research and Rational Use of Medicines (2017) and a PhD in Biomedicine and Pharmacy. His research focuses on the development of nanosized drug delivery systems for the treatment of cancer, as well as inflammatory skin and intestinal diseases with an immune component. He is also interested in the pharmacokinetics and release mechanisms of drugs from various delivery platforms. In 2021, he completed a research placement at De Montfort University (Leicester, UK) as a visiting researcher under the supervision of Prof. Sara Cordeiro. Following his PhD, he was awarded a Margarita Salas postdoctoral fellowship, which enabled him to work as a postdoctoral researcher at the University Medical Center Groningen (The Netherlands) under the supervision of Prof. Hélder Santos. He greatly values international and multidisciplinary collaboration, believing that diverse perspectives and knowledge are key to developing synergistic and innovative therapeutic strategies.
